Tri Delta

Phi Theta Chapter at Auburn University

Chapter Philanthropy & Service

Tri Delta is very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with two amazing philanthropies. On a national level, we come together with chapters from all over the country to do a lot of great work for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Each year, our chapter holds two large fundraisers, DHOP and Sincerely Yours, and smaller events such as Alex's Lemonade Stand that directly benefit St. Jude.

On a more local level, we are very lucky to work with Camp Smile-A-Mile (Camp SAM) located on Lake Martin, minutes away from Auburn's campus. Camp SAM is a close retreat for children recovering from, or receiving treatments for cancer. Each spring, our Chapter holds various events to raise money for the children of Camp SAM. The close location also allows the sisters of Phi Theta the opportunity to help throughout the year by taking service trips out to Camp SAM, or volunteer as a counselor for the summer sessions.

This year at Panhellenic Convocation, we were awarded for our outstanding philanthropic work to benefit children's cancer charities. We were also recognized nationally as the Tri Delta chapter with the most outstanding philanthropy. We are fortunate to have raised over $650 through Alex's Lemonade Stand this year, $4827 for Camp Smile-A-Mile from our first annual "Sundaes For SAM" event, $14,007.86 from DHOP, and $76,000 through our "Sincerely Yours" Campaign. We have set a goal to raise over $90,000 through Sincerely Yours this year, and can't wait to continue to raise money to benefit children's cancer charities!
